Thalassa's Log Book
Thalassa is a 48’ yawl, which has been in the same family for 70 years - firstly owned by Alan Baker and then his daughter and son-in-law. Her 100th birthday was celebrated in great style at the Royal Corinthian in
She was raced hard until the late fifties and is still sailed most weekends, from the middle of May until the end of September. It is estimated that she must have sailed about 250,000 miles since Alan Baker bought her in 1936.
The log is reproduced on the following pages; as is also a copy of the articles that appeared this year in Yachting Monthly and Classic Boat
